Chalmers tekniska högskola

The CoSiMa project is coordinated at the department of Mathematical Sciences at Chalmers. The department hosts expertise in spatial statistics and numerical methods for partial differential equations, which are the foundations for the methods used in the project. The imaging expertise in Eva Olsson group at the department of Physics is also an essential part of the project.

Chalmers Industriteknik is a Swedish research and development organization founded by Chalmers University of Technology. In CoSiMa, Essity contributes with experimental validation by measuring transport through breathable films, as well as transport and distribution in hygiene products.

Tetra Pak

Tetra Pak is a global provider of food packaging and processing solutions. The company delivers a wide range of systems for packaging, filling machines, and processing for food products such as dairy, beverages, cheese, ice cream, and prepared foods. They also offer distribution equipment like accumulators, cap applicators, conveyors, crate packers, film wrappers, line controllers, and straw applicators. In CoSiMa, Tetra Pak contributes with experimental validation by measuring permeability through surface layers, the amount of adhesive that has flowed into adhesive joints, as well as swelling and layer interactions.
